Psalm 147:3
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
~ Psalm 147:3Broken trust is one of the deepest wounds a relationship can endure. Whether through betrayal, dishonesty, or simply unmet expectations, the pain of trust broken cuts to the core of who we are. It makes us question not just the other person, but ourselves.
But God is in the business of healing. He does not look at your broken heart and say, “That’s too damaged to fix.” He draws near to the brokenhearted. He collects your tears. He binds your wounds with the gentleness of a Father who deeply loves His child.
Healing broken trust takes time. It requires honesty, accountability, and often the help of wise counsel. It is not about pretending the wound doesn’t exist, it is about inviting God into the pain and allowing Him to restore what was lost.
If your trust has been broken, know that God sees you. If you are the one who broke trust, know that restoration is possible through repentance and humility. God’s grace is big enough for both the wounded and the one who caused the wound.
Heavenly Father, You see the places where trust has been broken in my life. I invite You into those wounds. Heal what is broken. Restore what has been lost. Give me the courage to trust again, first in You, and then in the relationships You are restoring. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
