1 John 5:15
“And if we know that he hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have what we asked of him.”
~ 1 John 5:15God invites us to ask. Not timidly, not apologetically, not with a sense that we are bothering Him, but boldly, with the confidence of children approaching a loving Father. The apostle John assures us that if we know God hears us, we can know that our requests are granted according to His will.
Many believers hold back in prayer because they feel their requests are too small or too selfish. But God is not annoyed by our asking, He delights in it. A parent is not burdened when a child asks for help; they are honored. Your Father in heaven feels the same way about your prayers.
Bring your relationship needs, your fears, your hopes, and your dreams to Him. Bring the big things and the small things. Bring the prayers you’ve been afraid to pray out loud. He hears every one, and He answers, sometimes with yes, sometimes with wait, always with love.
Father, I bring my requests to You boldly today. Thank You that You hear me and that You answer. Amen.
