Daniel 9:3
“So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and petition, in fasting, and in sackcloth and ashes.”
~ Daniel 9:3Daniel was one of the most gifted and accomplished men in all of Scripture. He served in the courts of kings, interpreted dreams, and received visions of the future. Yet when he needed a breakthrough, he did not rely on his gifts, his position, or his reputation. He turned to God in prayer and fasting.
There is something profound about combining prayer with fasting. Prayer says, “God, I need You.” Fasting says, “God, I need You more than food, more than comfort, more than anything.” Together, they form a declaration of total dependence on the Almighty. It is not about earning God’s favor; it is about aligning your whole being, body and spirit, with His purposes.
ECO’s fasting programs guide believers through this sacred discipline. When you fast, you are partnering with God at the deepest level. You are saying with your body what your spirit already knows: He is sufficient, He is sovereign, and He is worth the sacrifice.
God, I partner with You through fasting and prayer. I am serious about seeking Your face and Your will for my life. Amen.
