Psalms 130:5
"I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope."
~ Psalms 130:5Waiting is not wasted time, it is sacred space. The psalmist did not wait passively or reluctantly. He waited with his whole being, every fiber of his soul leaning into God's faithfulness. This is not the waiting of a bus stop; this is the waiting of a farmer who has planted seeds and trusts the harvest will come.
If you are single and waiting for God to move, for a relationship, for clarity, for a new season, know that your waiting is producing something. Patience is being forged. Character is being refined. Faith is being deepened in ways that could not happen in any other season.
Put your hope in His Word, not in timelines or expectations. The promises of God are not contingent on your circumstances aligning perfectly. They are contingent on His character, which never fails. Wait well, and watch what He does.
God, I choose to wait with my whole being. When impatience rises, ground me in Your Word. When doubt whispers, let Your promises speak louder. I trust that this season of waiting is producing something beautiful. Amen.
