2 Corinthians 9:7
“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
~ 2 Corinthians 9:7Generosity is not about the size of the gift, it is about the posture of the heart. God is not impressed by large amounts given grudgingly. He is moved by the widow’s mite, the child’s offering, the sacrifice that costs something real.
When we give, we participate in God’s economy. He is the ultimate Giver, He gave His only Son. And when we give cheerfully, we reflect His character. We declare that we trust Him more than we trust our bank accounts.
Outreach and generosity go hand in hand. Every meal served at a Love in Action event, every wedding dress donated to the Everlasting Closet, every resource made available for free, it all happens because someone gave.
What has God put in your hands to give? It may be money, time, talent, or simply presence. Whatever it is, offer it with a cheerful heart and watch God multiply it beyond what you could imagine.
Lord, make me a cheerful giver. Remove any fear of lack and replace it with faith in Your provision. Show me where and how to give, my time, my resources, my talents, for the advancement of Your kingdom and the blessing of others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
