Today’s Scripture

“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”

~ Psalm 27:14

Reflection

Waiting is one of the hardest things God asks us to do. In a culture of instant gratification, the idea of standing still while God works behind the scenes feels almost unbearable. Yet the Psalmist doesn’t just say “wait”, he says wait with strength and courage.

Waiting on God is not passive. It is an active posture of trust. It means continuing to pray when the answer hasn’t come. It means continuing to prepare even when the promise seems delayed. It means refusing to take shortcuts that compromise your calling.

If you are single and waiting for a godly spouse, let this season build your character. If you are engaged and anxious about the future, let this time deepen your faith. If you are married and waiting for breakthrough, let this moment strengthen your covenant.

God’s timing is perfect, even when it doesn’t feel like it. The One who promised is faithful, and He will do it.

Prayer

Father, give me strength to wait on You with courage and hope. Help me to trust Your timing even when I cannot see the full picture. Use this season of waiting to prepare me for everything You have planned. I choose to believe that You are working all things together for my good. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
