Matthew 7:13-14
"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."
~ Matthew 7:13-14The narrow path is not the popular path. In singleness, the world offers a broad road of casual relationships, compromise, and settling. But God invites you to a different way, a narrow road that leads to life. It may feel lonely at times, but it is never empty. He walks it with you.
Choosing the narrow path means saying no to what the culture normalizes and yes to what God sanctifies. It means guarding your heart, your body, and your standards, not out of fear, but out of faith. It means trusting that God's best is worth the wait, even when the wait is long.
Few find this path, Jesus said. Not because it is hidden, but because it costs something. It costs comfort, conformity, and control. But what it gives in return, life, purpose, peace, and a love that is worth the journey, is beyond measure.
Lord, give me courage to walk the narrow path. When the broad road tempts me, anchor me in Your truth. I choose life, even when the road is difficult. Lead me, and I will follow. Amen.
