Known and Loved

Psalms 139:1-3

← Previous Day Next Day →

Today’s Scripture

"You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways."

~ Psalms 139:1-3

Reflection

To be fully known and fully loved, this is the deepest longing of the human heart. David marveled that God's knowledge of him was not distant or clinical. It was intimate, detailed, and personal. God knows when you sit and when you rise. He perceives your thoughts before you think them.

In singleness, there can be a painful ache to be truly known by another person. But even the most intimate human relationship cannot satisfy the depth of knowing that God offers. He knows your unspoken fears, your secret hopes, your deepest joys. And knowing all of this, He loves you completely.

Let this truth settle deep today: you are not unknown. You are not unseen. The Creator of galaxies is familiar with all your ways, and His response to everything He knows about you is love. Relentless, pursuing, unfailing love.

Prayer

Lord, You know me completely, and You love me completely. Let this truth be the foundation of my identity. I am known, I am loved, and I am Yours. Amen.
