Opening Prayer

Lord, before we choose a mate, help us to truly know ourselves. Give us the wisdom and honesty to examine our spiritual life, our health, our finances, our temperament, and our purpose. Prepare us from the inside out so that when the time comes, we are ready to honor You in our relationships. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Before Choosing A Mate! The Knowledge Of Self!

What is God's plan in your life?

What is your spiritual level? Low, high spiritually?

What is your Health Status? (Blood Type: A-/A+, Type B, Type AB, O)

What is your financial status, & Where are you financially? What is your Credit Score?

What is your temperament? Introverted or Extroverted

What is your Love Language?

What is your priority interest in a partner?

What is your quality? What is your high point?

What are my Strengths/Weaknesses?

What is your education level and your intellectual level?

What Your Race, Ethnicity, and Nationality!

What is your Relationship like with Your Parents?

What is Dating?

“Dating” is defined as two people getting to know each other and moving toward a relationship.

What is God’s Plan In Your Life?

For I know the plans I have for you, ” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

What is your spiritual level?

Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? (2 Corinthians 6:14)

What is your Health Status?

Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple. (1 Corinthians 3:16, 17)
Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies. (1 Corinthians 6:19, 20)

Also, as Christians, we are required to seek the counsel of our heavenly Father before we pick a life partner; this will save us from pain and shame because God's counsel is the ultimate in life.

As Christians, a big part of dating is trying to find someone who shares our belief s and values.

Closing Prayer

Lord, before we choose a mate, help us to truly know ourselves, our spiritual level, our health, our finances, our temperament, our love language, and our purpose. Give us the wisdom to examine our own hearts first so that we can bring our best selves to the table. Guide us in every area of self-knowledge so we can honor You in our relationships. In Jesus' name, Amen.
