Psalm 139:1-4
“You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways.”
, Psalm 139:1-4There is a deep human longing to be fully known and still fully loved. We fear that if people saw the real us, the doubts, the struggles, the messy parts we keep hidden, they would walk away. So we perform. We curate. We hide.
But God already knows everything about you. He knows your thoughts before you think them. He knows your words before you speak them. He knows your deepest fears, your secret shame, and your hidden wounds. And He loves you completely, without reservation.
This truth changes everything about how we approach relationships. When we know we are fully loved by God, we stop looking for other people to complete us. We stop demanding from others what only God can provide. We enter relationships from a place of fullness rather than emptiness.
You are known. You are loved. Not because of what you do, but because of whose you are. Let that truth sink deep into your heart today and watch how it transforms the way you love others.
Lord, thank You for knowing me completely and loving me anyway. Help me to rest in Your love so that I stop trying to earn approval from others. Let Your love be the foundation from which I love everyone around me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
