2 Corinthians 12:9
“But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.”
, 2 Corinthians 12:9We spend so much energy trying to be strong. We hide our struggles, mask our pain, and present a polished version of ourselves to the world. But God’s economy works differently. In His kingdom, weakness is not a disqualification, it is an invitation for His power to show up.
Paul had a thorn in his flesh, some ongoing struggle that he begged God to remove. Three times he asked, and three times God said no. But the reason was not cruelty; it was grace. God’s grace was sufficient. His power would be perfected in Paul’s weakness.
In your relationships, you will face moments of weakness. You will fail your spouse. You will disappoint your friends. You will fall short of your own expectations. But these are not the end of the story. They are the beginning of grace.
Stop trying to be perfect. Start leaning into grace. Admit your weakness, and watch God’s power fill the gap. His grace is enough for your marriage, your singleness, your engagement, and every relationship in between.
Lord, I am tired of pretending to be strong on my own. I bring You my weakness, my failures, and my shortcomings. Pour Your grace into every crack and let Your power be made perfect in my life. I choose to boast in my weakness because it makes room for You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
