Matthew 6:33
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
~ Matthew 6:33Jesus’ instruction is stunningly simple: seek God first, and everything else will follow. Not seek God when convenient. Not seek God after everything else is in order. First. Before the job, before the relationship, before the breakthrough, seek His kingdom and His righteousness.
This is counterintuitive in a world that says hustle first, pray later. We are conditioned to believe that our striving is what produces results. But Jesus offers a different economy: when you prioritize the King and His kingdom, the King takes care of everything else. This is not a promise of material wealth; it is a promise of divine provision and order.
Start each day by putting God first. Before you check your phone, check in with your Father. Before you plan your agenda, ask Him about His agenda. Before you seek a spouse, a promotion, or a breakthrough, seek God. When His kingdom is your priority, everything else falls into its rightful place.
God, help me seek Your kingdom first in everything. Order my priorities and align my desires with Yours. Amen.
