Habakkuk 2:3
"For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay."
~ Habakkuk 2:3God's promises have appointed times. Your engagement is proof that a promise has been fulfilled, two hearts brought together by divine orchestration. But the fulfillment of one promise does not mean the end of waiting. New promises are ahead, and they too have appointed times.
Habakkuk was told to wait for a vision that seemed to linger. It felt delayed, but God assured him it would certainly come. In your engagement, there may be moments of impatience, the wedding feels far away, the preparations feel endless, the adjustments feel overwhelming. But every day of preparation is purposeful.
Do not despise the in-between. This season of engagement is not just a countdown to the wedding. It is a sacred time of preparation for covenant. God is working in both of you, aligning your hearts, deepening your faith, and preparing you for the promise He is about to fulfill.
Father, thank You for promises fulfilled and promises yet to come. Help us wait with faith and prepare with intention. We trust Your timing in every season of our journey together. Amen.
